About the Vacancy:

The Company currently require an Assistant Estimator to add to the current commercial team. Their projects range from £1m-£5m and the individual must be able to communicate well with both commercial team and clients and have a professional but non adversarial approach with the emphasis of working together.

This role will initially provide a lot of autonomy and will require the candidate to assist in preparing tender packages and to engage with the commercial team in all aspects of Estimating. Guidance and training will be provided on an ongoing basis to ensure the right candidate develops their career. You will also carry out analytical pricing of in-house produced Bills of Quantities and to work closely with Design & Build Manager in the development of bids when required.

The basic guideline salary is £25,000 – £35,000, however this will be dependent upon the specific skills and experience of each individual.



The ideal candidate will have a Commercial, main contractor background with a strong and solid permanent work structure, however candidates from other sectors of the construction industry will also be considered. Candidates will have at least a years’ experience in an estimating role. Qualifications in building construction such as a BSC or HNC would be preferred.

Most importantly the candidate for this role must be trustworthy, reliable, conscientious and keen to progress their career further.
