This privately-owned client who is based inside the M25 is a leading name within the construction industry. Their current annual turnover is in excess of £90M and with plans in place for growth over the next 5-10 years, this business is in an exciting position moving forward.

As a company, they undertake a variety of works including demolition, groundwork’s, enabling works, structural alterations, soil remediation and stabilisation for clients which include Kier, Westfield, Bam Nuttall and ISG. Projects are undertaken throughout London and our client’s strong reputation for successfully finishing challenging projects has been built on delivery and trust.

About the Opportunity

Following continued growth, our client is looking to strengthen their existing team by adding an experienced assistant estimator to the ranks. This is a permanent position within a business that has great staff retention due to how they treat their staff. The duties in this role will be assisting the estimating team which will include tasks such as preparation of tender submissions, measuring and take-off from drawings, producing bills of quantities, build-up of tender price from plans, programs and drawings, cost planning among others. You will also be tasked with attending pre and post contract meetings with clients.

About the benefits and rewards

For this permanent position, the salary has been left negotiable as the specifics will depend upon previous experience and suitability, however, successful individuals could expect to target a basic salary anywhere from £25,000 – £40,000.

About the requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates will need to be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience and this must have been gained whilst working within the concrete frame & groundwork sector.
