Our client is a groundwork and concrete frame specialist subcontractor based out of their offices in North London the business has seen growth in turnover to £20m over the past few years. Moving forward they are looking to expand their pre-construction team as part of their continued expansion plan.

This business is family run and has been since their inception over 20 years ago, that family ethos is proudly spread throughout the company and shows in how they treat their staff. About the Opportunity

Following continued growth, our client is looking to strengthen their existing team by adding an experienced assistant estimator to the ranks. This is a permanent position within a business that has great staff retention due to how they treat their staff. The duties in this role will be assisting the estimating team which will include tasks such as preparation of tender submissions, measuring and take-off from drawings, producing bills of quantities, build-up of tender price from plans, programs and drawings, cost planning among others. You will also be tasked with attending pre and post contract meetings with clients.

About the benefits and rewards

For this permanent position, the salary has been left negotiable as the specifics will depend upon previous experience and suitability, however successful individuals could expect to target a basic salary anywhere from £25,000 – £40,000.

About the requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates will need to be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience and this must have been gained whilst working within the concrete frame & groundwork sector.
