Our privately owned client who is based in East London is a leading name within the demolition and civil engineering industry with a group annual turnover in excess of £110M.

All of their operational, commercial and pre-construction team operate out of their newly refurbished East London office, which offers their employees the ability to jump on the train to their sites within 30 minutes. At present, our client is working on several live projects throughout London and the surrounding Home Counties, with further workload secured in the pipeline for the rest of 2020 and leading into 2021. About the opportunity:

Due to continued growth, my client is currently recruiting permanently for an Assistant Estimator. The successful professional will report directly to the Estimating Manager and will be responsible for assisting with tenders, project costings and valuations for demolition packages in / around London. Guidance and training will be provided on an ongoing basis and you will be responsible for managing bid qualifications, compiling and preparing relevant pre-tender information including the completion of PQQ’s; supporting the project team in pre-tender meetings; inspecting and reviewing all tender documentation; liaising with project teams to establish and agree proposals for the required scope of works and determine bill of quantities with rates for labour, materials and subcontractors to name just a few duties.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this opportunity, professionals should be degree qualified and hold a minimum of 3 years estimating experience whilst working for a civil engineering or enabling works subcontractor in the South East of England. Additionally, professionals must be trustworthy, reliable and hold the right drive and ambition to progress their career further.

About the benefits and rewards:

For this permanent opportunity, I am targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £35,000 to £55,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability.
