About the position:

Due to continued growth, my client is currently recruiting permanently for an Assistant Estimator. The successful individual will report directly to the Pre – Construction Manager and will be responsible for assisting with tenders, project costings and valuations for demolition packages in / around London. Guidance and training will be provided on an ongoing basis and duties for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Manage bid qualification, compile and prepare relevant pre-tender information including completion of PQQ’s.
Manage tenders including review and site visits, advising on suitability to tender.
Inspect and review all tender documentation.
Liaising with project team to establish and agree proposals for the required scope of works.
Determine bill of quantities with rates for labour, materialise and subcontractors.
Support project team with pre-tender meetings.

About the requirements:

In order to be considered for this role, individuals should be degree qualified and hold circa two years estimating experience whilst working for a civil engineering contractor in the South East. Additionally, individuals must be trustworthy, reliable and hold the right drive and ambition to progress their career further.

About the benefits and rewards:

For this permanent position, I am targeting individuals looking to earn anywhere from £25,000 to £30,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer in addition to the usual benefits associated with a large successful company.
