We are working in partnership with one of the UKs largest and most respected independent housebuilders operating across several regional offices. Building over 45 different house types they are responsible for transforming brownfield sites which are some of the most complex and challenging schemes to an extremely high quality using only the highest quality materials

About the role:

Reporting to the Design & Planning Manager, you will be responsible for:

Reviewing technical information to assist in the production of initial sketch layouts for land appraisals
Developing the planning layouts using the standard range of house types in preparation for planning submission
Produce supporting documentation for planning applications
Discharge planning conditions in a timely manner
Oversee and monitor air test regime
Manage the drawing registers, filing systems
Distribute architectural information as required
Produce bespoke planning drawings where necessary to suit specific planning requirements
Coordinate and manage the building regulation applications and subsequent discharge of conditions
Appoint and management of external consultants
Clearance of CML conditions
Obtain SAP/EPC assessments
Support the coordination of subsequent planning applications
Work closely with the Design Team and Local Planning Authorities
Attend internal and external meetings
Keep updated with new regulations and legislation

About the requirements:

  • Experienced Architectural Technician within the House Building Sector
  • In-depth knowledge of building regulations
  • HNC or HND in construction, architectural technology or building studies
  • Excellent communication and organisational capabilities
  • Proficient in AutoCAD

In general salaries will take into consideration a number of factors including market practice, the individuals experience and responsibilities and pay structures within the company itself. Salaries might be set below the market level, and subject to performance, increased as the employee gains experience over time. In this instance the company are looking to pay up to £45,000 basic salary plus package.
