Recruitment Resourcer to join Civil Engineering team

About Cityscape Recruitment:

Cityscape Recruitment specialises in the recruitment of construction professionals within the building, civil engineering and rail industries. We offer a personal service to our clients providing recruitment of white collar professionals. This is assisted by our prevalent knowledge of the industry, balanced with access to high-quality candidates.

In addition to this, all of our consultants focus on the recruitment within a specific industry sector. Not only does this mean each client and candidate has a consistent Cityscape Recruitment contact, but our consultants become experts in their disciplines and are able to build a strong, focused network of professionals in their specialist area. This also means there is no in-house competition between consultants – the team are able to work in harmony with each other, support everyone’s desks and clients are exposed to more potential candidates and vice versa.

Senior staff at Cityscape Recruitment are degree qualified in construction, have extensive experience of working within the construction industry and several years’ experience of applying this knowledge to the recruitment industry. They are well qualified to provide consultants with the guidance required to ensure they excel in their role and achieve the best out of their career.

Our prime objective is to maintain a high quality of service for our clients and candidates. We work hard on a consistent basis to deliver on this and as such, achieve real successes. We ensure that everybody within the business gets to enjoy the benefits that come with that success. If we can’t have fun on the journey then what is the point in working so hard?!

About the role:

We currently have a vacancy for a Recruitment Resourcer to join our successful Civil Engineering Team based out of our office in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.  The team is made up of a Director, two Senior Consultants and a Recruitment Consultant. They place candidates in both main contract and sub-contract areas of civil engineering with the sectors covered including, but not limited to, infrastructure and highways, utilities and power, rail and underground, reinforced concrete frames, groundworks, demolition, remediation and piling.

As a Recruitment Resourcer, you will be responsible for supporting one of the Senior Consultants to source and validate candidates for a wide variety of white collar roles and opportunities throughout the UK, specifically for the demolition, remediation and piling sectors. These roles and opportunities range from graduate up to director level and will fall within the Operational, Commercial, Safety and Technical and Support specialisms.

In order to source candidates, a Recruitment Resourcer is expected to spend a lot of their time calling potential candidates. These candidates’ details would have been obtained from our internal database, contacts through our website, job boards and other external sources – such as LinkedIn and referrals. Training will be provided on how best to utilise the above sources, as well as how best to validate candidates for roles.

As a growing company, your position within the business will naturally elevate to a role with more responsibility, gaining more experience over time. For a Recruitment Resourcer, your role will initially evolve to include direct contact with clients and taking the responsibility for the 360 recruitment process in a select number of lower level roles.

About the benefits and rewards:

Remuneration will be extremely generous. We base salaries on the experience and abilities of each professional but offer beyond the typical level in the industry. You can expect a basic salary from £17,000 to £25,000. In addition to basic salary and a set commission amount for each placement, we offer generous quarterly bonuses, quarterly target based office events, regular team social events, ongoing perks through Perkbox and a drinks fridge.

About the requirements:

Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience in, or knowledge of, the civil engineering industry as well as previous recruitment or sales experience.
