My client is a leading residential developer with multiple divisions across the country, are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client has provided 100,000+ homes since it was formed in the 1940’s, they are one of the biggest house builders in the country and employ well over 1350 people with expertise covering a range of development disciplines. They are involved in land acquisition, finance, planning, architecture, design, build management, marketing and customer service. Our client is designed, built and marketed by local teams operating from regional offices managed and staffed by local people. This allows the company to take key decisions about design, build, materials, planning and marketing in response to local demands. Designers and other consultants tend to be local, which makes for house designs with a strong regional identity in tune with the local vernacular.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their well-established business and commercial team.

You will be responsible for providing the business with Cost Management for assigned developments from Land Procurement to the completion of Final Accounts. You will be responsible for 3 residential build sites varying in size and build method, ranging in units.

  • Package procurement based on robust and thorough processes including;
  • General Contract Administration
  • Cost/ change control and monitoring
  • Cost reporting
  • Measurement, estimating, cost exercises and benchmarking
  • Working with the company’s bespoke Contract
  • Reviewing and assessing contractor competency
  • Assisting with monthly cost, project reporting and associated documentation
  • Candidate Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of roughly 5 years Quantity Surveying experience
  • A minimum of HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying
  • Must have worked for a Residential Developer for at least 3 years
  • Must have residential build experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate job loyalty

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates will ideally be degree qualified and have residential development experience. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work without support or supervision.  You will ideally live within a 1 hour commute to their office in the Bristol area.
