Watford Mencap is a local charity that supports and works with people who have learning disabilities, their families and carers. (To find out more about their valuable work, click here.) This annual event sees local businesses compete in a fun, pancake flipping relay! And after a covid related hiatus last year, the event was back on for 2022.
The rain and cold did little to deter supporters lining the high street ready to cheer on the teams as they raced down the high street (a good few in fancy dress!) all vying to take home the coveted winners shield.
The competition was tough – running was a couple of estate agents, the Three Rivers Council and a Bootcamp club, to name but a few. And we are very proud to have come second; runners up to local estate agent chain Gibbs Gillespie.
We are waiting to hear the amount that was raised this year, but from the number of Rickmansworth residents that turned up today to support the event, it’s sure to make a difference to the people that Watford Mencap help.
There is still time to donate. If you would like to do so, please donate here.
Enjoy pictures of our team running the race on the right. Well Done guys!
